Structured Authoring for Experienced FrameMaker Users
applies students’ knowledge of FrameMaker to introduce:
- Elements, attributes, and the structured document model
- Structure-driven, context-sensitive automatic formatting
- Guided editing with the Structure View and Element Catalog
- Validating a document's structure
- Structured cross-references, footnotes, graphics, and tables
Many of these topics are presented by contrasting the structured
construct with the corresponding unstructured version.
Although much of the course content is extracted from
Authoring
Structured Documents, topics already familiar to experienced
FrameMaker users are omitted. This course does not cover basic
FrameMaker formatting and editing.
