FrameMaker makes it easy to create a new master page from an existing one and to copy master pages from one document (or template) to another. A large project may use dozens of master pages stored in several templates. Making systematic changes to all master pages in a set of related templates can be tedious and repetitive and hence subject to human error.
Text Structure Consulting, Inc., is developing a tool that simplifies maintaining sets of related master pages. This FrameMaker 7.0 plug-in uses a table in one FrameMaker document to define the master pages in a set of templates. We hope to make the tool available in the second half of 2003.
