Developing Structured FrameMaker Applications (Workshop or Seminar)
2-day workshop
3-hour seminar
Developing Structured FrameMaker Applications
presents an integrated view of application development to
participants who have taken the structured FrameMaker
developer classes or studied the Structure Application
Developer's Guide. Lecture topics include:
- Document analysis and project planning
- Life cycle of an XML or SGML project
- Application development scenarios (building an editing
environment from an existing DTD, creating XML or SGML from a
structured template and corresponding documents, using
FrameMaker to format existing XML or SGML documents,
handling legacy documents, structured editing without a markup
language requirement, and so on)
- Structured FrameMaker application development as a typical XML
or SGML
implementation task
- Steps in structured FrameMaker application development and when
to perform each one
In the workshop, attendees work in small teams to build actual
structured FrameMaker applications. By prior arrangement, participants can
use their own documents for these exercises. The seminar presents
the same material without the classroom exercises.
